Every Morning

In Christianity, Jesus, Salvation on July 7, 2010 at 9:03 pm

When you wake up do one or all of these to improve your relationship with God and others.

Turn a New Leaf

Then let us begin at the very beginning to manifest that faith which takes hold of the promises of God. Then your testimonies will be of what the Lord has done for you right here upon this ridge overlooking the waters [of Lake Michigan] that He has made with His hand. Right here I surrender myself to God, and He blesses me. He has converted me, and I believe that His blessing will rest upon me every step that I advance toward Zion. Let us begin, then, right here.

God’s Denominated People

In Bible, Christianity, Israel on April 17, 2010 at 11:36 pm

The reasons why we are the  denominated people of God are to be repeated and repeated. Deuteronomy 4:1–13; 5:1–33.” Manuscript Releases, volume 8, 427.

Listen to God’s Denominated People and follow along with this handout.

DENOMINATED: By a most solemn covenantThus the children of Israel were denominated as a special people. By a most solemn covenant they were pledged to be true to God. Then the people were bidden to prepare themselves to hear the law. On the morning of the third day the voice of God was heard. Speaking out of the thick darkness that enshrouded Him, as He stood upon the mount, surrounded by a retinue of angels, the Lord made known His law.” Fundamentals of Christian Education, 506.

BUT THEN THEY WERE DIVORCED

“Meanwhile worshipers from every nation sought the temple which had been dedicated to the worship of God. Glittering with gold and precious stones, it was a vision of beauty and grandeur. What is the “New Covenant”?

In Bible, Christianity, Jesus, Spirit of Prophecy on December 20, 2009 at 3:39 am
The Law and the Covenants
In the Beginning
Adam and Eve, at their creation, had a knowledge of the law of God; they were acquainted with its claims upon them; its precepts were written upon their hearts. When man fell by transgression the law was not changed, but a remedial system was established to bring him back to obedience.
The promise of a Saviour was given, and sacrificial offerings pointing forward to the death of Christ as the great sin offering were established. But had the law of God never been transgressed, there would have been no death, and no need of a Saviour; consequently there would have been no need of sacrifices.  {PP 363.1}

Music: Biblical Understanding

In Bible, Christianity, Spirit of Prophecy, The Last Days on August 11, 2009 at 4:18 am

Daniel 3:3-6

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up: And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

Music

If in the last days we will be faced with this scene, and God has seen fit to show us that music will be involved. It is our responsiblilty to learn what God is showing us. To allow you to take the time to learn more about music from a biblical standpoint, I hve made a new page called music with a seminar called; Voices of a Dying Planet. Please look at this simple Bible Study on drums from the Bible, entitled “Are Drums suitable to worship God?“. Read the rest of this entry »
