Revelation 17

In Bible, Prophecies, Prophecy, The End, The Last Days on January 31, 2010 at 5:42 am

Revelation 17:1 “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:”

1 Chronicles 5:25  tells us that a whore is a church that is involved in idolatry and other sins against God.“And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.”

Jeremiah 3:6 “The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.

Revelation 17:2 “With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

Revelation shows that all the world is involved in a fornication. A situation when a man and a woman who are not married are involved in intimate relations. This is what Daniel 2 was showing us. The Church and the State mingling their seed together, a  relationship that is not approved of by God. We read in Revelation 17 that when this happens they (the kingdom of 10) make war with Jesus and His people.

Seek for One

Labor to Win Even One Soul

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? Luke 15:4.

WHAT:

For the conversion of one soul we should tax our resources to the utmost. One soul won to Christ will flash heaven’s light all around him, penetrating the moral darkness and saving other souls.  {Mar 29.1}

If Christ left the ninety and nine, that He might seek and save the one lost sheep, can we be justified in doing less? Is not a neglect to work even as Christ worked, to sacrifice as He sacrificed, a betrayal of sacred trusts, an insult to God?  {Mar 29.2}

Sound an alarm throughout the length and breadth of the earth. Tell the people that the day of the Lord is near and hasteth greatly. Let none be left unwarned. Read the rest of this entry »
